Tomato juice sharpened with lemon and seasoned with Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, celery salt and pepper, served long over ice. Savoury, spicy and refreshing, it stands up to food like few alcohol-free drinks can. A brunch staple and a smart choice for whoever is driving.

Ingredients
- 120 mlTomato juice4 oz
- 15 mlFresh lemon juice½ oz
- 3 dashesWorcestershire sauce
- 2 dashesHot pepper sauce
- 1 pinchCelery salt
- 1 pinchBlack pepper
- GarnishCelery stalk + Lemon wheel
≈ 167 ml served
Substitutes: Fresh lime juice can stand in for Fresh lemon juice.
Method

Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.

Add the tomato juice and lemon juice.

Season with the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, celery salt and black pepper.

Stir well until cold, then taste and adjust the seasoning.

Garnish with a celery stalk and a lemon wheel.
Bartender's notes
- Stir in a little grated horseradish or a splash of pickle brine for extra bite.
- Chill the tomato juice in advance so the ice doesn't water the drink down.
